Arrival, handover of the 4x4s and a briefing with the guide.

Twelve days by 4x4, in convoy with a guide: the red dunes of Sossusvlei at dawn, the Atlantic coast, the rocks of Damaraland and the elephants of Etosha. Nights in desert lodges, under the starriest sky in Africa.
The petrified trees among the highest dunes in the world, before the heat.
An evening with the lodge’s astronomer, in a dark-sky reserve.
Two days of safari around the waterholes of elephants, lions and rhinos.
Day 1

First stop among the red dunes of the Kalahari, drinks at sunset.
Day 3
Arrival at the desert lodge, on the edge of the Namib.

Sesriem Canyon and an evening with the astronomer.

Across the desert to the Atlantic, in the old colonial town.

Red rock mountains and the tracks of desert elephants.
Day 9
The rock engravings and a day of exploring.
Day 10
Into the park and a first safari at sunset.
